Construction Update

New Ginkgo Park at McChord Field

Equity Residential just completed a new recreation area at Joint Base Lewis McChord called Ginkgo Park.  Located at McChord Field, this community amenity is a multi-purpose play/picnic area and dog park.  The setting is convenient to residents and beautifully framed by fir trees with walking trails, covered picnic/BBQ areas, two sets of primary play equipment, soccer field and dog park area.  The area was hydro seeded in mid-September and the park’s grounds will be fully operational in the spring 2012. 

Breaking Ground for New Housing (Lewis North)

Meriwether Landing's first phase is almost complete. CSM's will soon have a new neighborhood to call home. These homes come complete with fenced in back yard, two car garage, large covered patios and central airconditioning. The community playgrounds will include play equiptment for all ages, covered picnic areas, built in fire pits and BBQ's. 

The first six homes will be completed in early April with families moving in as early as May 1, 2012.


McChord Family Housing  / Community Center

Lewis-McChord Communities is currently constructing a new Neighborhood Housing office and Community Center. This community center will be the newest and biggest center on both Lewis and McChord. This facility will be the new home to both the Neighborhood Housing Office and HSO.

This center is scheduled to be completed and moved into by December 2012.

Parkway (Lewis Main):

A window replacement project is underway.  As of October 24, 2011, 122 of the 206 homes have received all new windows and additional insulation.  Both of which, make a much more energy efficient home.
